What's up with the name?
The name of the site originated from something I wrote in my journal years ago that summed up how I felt after meeting my wife and getting, what seemed to me, a second lease on life. Now, I break it down like this:
Happy - means the peaceful contentment I want for myself and others.
Heading - means my direction is solid, steady and staying the course.
Nowhere - means an attitude of mindfulness, openness and wonder to any situation.
Why should you listen to me?
You shouldn't. I mean, not necessarily. I'm not a professional therapist or counselor by any means, so nothing you find here is meant to be taken as professional, legal, financial, or spiritual advice. It's best if you just consider me a friend or acquaintance that you get together and have coffee with once a week (or cocktails, if you prefer). We'll have a good conversation and some laughs, and once in a while, I might say something that makes you think.
I believe that every person should develop a personal philosophy for living that gives them a strong foundation for facing whatever comes their way. Mine is a curated mixture of Stoic philosophy, Buddhism, Christianity, psychology, and sociology, with some good old-fashioned common sense sprinkled in for good measure.
